Appointments
We offer three types of appointments:
- Pre-bookable appointments - these are for patients to use when forward planning is essential ie because of other commitments or because the doctor or nurse has asked you to return in a number of days/weeks for review of your condition.
- Same day appointments - these are for all urgent problems and for routine problems where you will be able to phone the surgery in the morning and be seen later the same day.
- Telephone consultations - these are an alternative to visiting the surgery and examples of when they could be used are to discuss:- results; changes of medication; ongoing sick notes; minor illnesses etc.
You can make an appointment to see your doctor by asking at the desk or telephoning 223 5226.
We encourage patients to see the doctor with whom they are registered. However, should you wish to see one of the other doctors in the practice please request this at the time of making your appointment.
The practice will endeavour to comply with your request but it may not always be possible to do so. Where we find it is not possible to comply with your request, an explanation will be offered. Please let us know if you decide not to attend for your appointment, so that it can be given to someone else.
Urgent problems will be dealt with by one of the doctors on the same day but you may have to wait until the patients with booked appointments have been seen.
Extended Hours
With effect from Tuesday 5th May 2009 we will be offering two late evening sessions of appointments per week.
We hope that these will benefit our patients who find it difficult to visit us during the course of the normal working day.
The late evening sessions will usually be on Monday and Tuesday evenings commencing at 6.30 pm.
If you would particularly like one of these appointment slots please make our receptionists aware of this.
